Through a second party I encouraged him to do so and began my own little campaign on his behalf.<BR/><BR/>To my surprise, the people with whom I first communicated were, for the most part, already in support of Governor Richardson. I have to admit these people are mostly well-read and well-studied students of politics. My fear was that those with great war chests would smother the Governor under tons of money. I think my fears are justified because we are the same nation who elected George W. Bush--twice. So I mean no offense to anybody.<BR/><BR/>To my great joy, he has been appearing on shows such as Chris Matthews and The Daily Show with John Stewart. In every case, he has come across as not only the most qualified contender and the only one with a lucid plan for America, but he has come across as a guy who can stand outside of a plant and make conversation with the workers coming in and out of the facility. He could go into a bar or a church and come across the same because he is a genuine person. Ambitious--yes, but I doubt anyone without ambition would run for POTUS.<BR/><BR/>I hope people are watching and thinking going through this campaign. Governor Bill Richardson should be the biggest surprise to the pundits before this thing is over.
